Do I need a culvert where my driveway meets the road?
If there's an open road ditch at your frontage, yes — a culvert lets water keep flowing under your driveway instead of damming the ditch. Most parishes require this and may have permit and pipe-size requirements for the crossing.
Why does my gravel driveway keep washing out or rutting?
Usually it's a base problem — gravel laid directly on clay without a proper compacted base and crown will shift, pothole, and wash out after rain. We build up a compacted base and crown the drive so water sheds to the sides instead of running down the middle.
How long does a driveway installation take?
